Many of the times nothing big is wrong with you car but they charge you for other things, than the actual problem you take it for. I don't remember quite well how much prices increased but it was quite a bit of range, in the price area.
This one day, i read an article about dinosaurs. This article talked was explaining how all the dinosaurs died off and what caused them to die of. Many people have seen movies and read about the extinction of dinosaurs , but not so many know the types of animals there was, and what some of them evolved from. This article was interesting it was like learning about our ancestors.
I read an article about how scientists are now discovering that Oreos are as addictive as Cocaine to the brain. The sugar content in the Oreo releases the same endorphin in the brain that cocaine does when someone uses it. I find that actually very interesting in the way that it helps prove that sugary treats can be a bad addiction at the level of drugs like cocaine.

in all the magazines i have read i have learned many new things. For example i learned about the debate with the iPhone and iPad. The argument was very interesting and each side had there own things to say. My opinion was that the iPhone was way better.

Hotel housekeepers are always expecting tips from the guess after they leave. If you are afraid of somebody else taking
your money, the proper thing to do is to leave it in a place in the room where the keeper is the only one who cleans that spot. Another thing you can do is to leave it in the front desk with a little post it with your room number.If you are still in the room you should have the sign saying that the room is still on service. If its not, your room can be clean by 5:30 p.m. One important thing to keep in mind is that you have to respect the housekeepers cart. Their cart is like their office. they organize it the best way for them to find everything easier and know where to look when they need something.

I am a big fan of Oprah Winfrey and have read her biography along with other reports on her. I am also currently doing a report on her and am very excited to learn more about her successful life. To many, Oprah is just a billionaire that is famous for being a host for her show. Little does everyone know that she has struggled to get where she is now.

I read an article called A Cybersecurity Law in China Squeezes Foreign Tech Companies, and it talks about how China is banning the use of Google, twitter and any other social media. They only did this for security reasons.
@Julie That article seems like it was really interesting. Entrepreneurs and business is a really interesting concept.
Julie, I think that in order to be successful, every company should show originality in their products because that is what catches a consumers attention. Now a days many companies copy each others products and although they try not to make it obvious there is always going to be more than one that notices the smallest of details to try and bring that company down. Peter is right, hard work and faith has a lot to do with accomplishing ones dreams.

I read a magazine about robots who are trying to do things that humans do daily. Scientists are trying to find a way to make them do what us people do every day. They think that if they get that robots to do that they will start to take away peoples jobs.

Its true ISIS does do some crazy attacks and the U.S. does have many trained people and I find it interesting how they don't over power them. Its also scary how we don't know when they are going to attack so we cant protect ourselves.
I read a article about a earthquake hitting Southern California in the following 2 1/2 years. The possibilities are 99.9% according to NASA scientists. This article also says that if this earthquake hits Southern California it would do a lot of damage due to its 5.1 magnitude.

The last article I read about was about cops. It was about all the recent police violence from the police perspective. They said that the media only sees the deaths but don't see what happened prior to the shooting and don't see the suspect resisting and not cooperating with the police, who may possibly have a weapon.
I read a article that was on the Times Magazine which was called "Line of Duty: Scott the black guy that was killed by an officer." It asked one good question that had you thinking while reading the article which was "Was it racism or the officers duty?" This question could go both ways because racism plays a big part but also on the other hand maybe the officer didn't feel save and when Scott put his hand in his pocket he thought he was going to pull out a gun.
I read an article in a magazine about people who want to be an entrepreneur. At the same time they have to go through all the challenges and all the frustrations entrepreneurs experience in their every day life. After reading this article I believe that to become an entrepreneur, It takes hard work and dedication and also you have to be responsible.
Gina Baez: I think your right about technology slowly killing us. I believe technology has a hold on us because we need technology for everything whether its to call someone or to simply use a calculator most of us teens have no idea what life is without technology.
I read an article called "the European front", It was mainly about terrorism. Paris was attacked on January 12,2015 and that made a huge impact around the world. I believe that getting attacked is the worst that can happen and especially on a city with many tourists.
Angel, not so long ago I saw something very controversial on the news. A black male was shooting everything around a family friendly block and was repeatedly told to put his gun down but since the male wouldn't do as told, the police had no other choice but to shoot him. Everyone points at policemen for "shooting African Americans" but no one looks beyond their nose and does research on the case. My point is, what would've happened if they let the male keep shooting at everything? He could've hurt the people around him, innocent lives. My suggestion is that people should stop going with social media gossips that fix up reporters words to their convenience and start watching the news before they start defending those who don't deserve it. Don't get me wrong, not all cases are the same and I do believe that violence is becoming a problem in the world.

Angel, I believe that the article you read was very interesting because not only is it a article I had seen videos of how police men harassed people without a motive. I believe that there should be more justice than that and corrupt cops should be in jail.

Gina, technology has been changing our lives in many ways. Without technology we would not be able to do many things, But i agree that It is affecting us. We are also loosing creativity and energy with advanced technology.
One article I did my magazine log on was about robots for the future. The robots will be called iRobots can help cure cancer and diseases. They will be able to assist the elderly, disabled, and help you to your car. Robots like this can really benefit people now and in the future but I believe it will also leave many Americans unemployed which will not be the best thing and will not benefit Americans by taking their jobs.
@ Gabino The police violence has been an issue to the country because people don't know what might happen when the police stopped them. It pretty sad to see people lose their lives with the police violence.
I read this article of user experience which talks about the curse of knowledge. It states to build a user experience that makes sense to first time visitors. For example e-commerce website designers make their website so good but only good enough for them and the knowledge people who understand it. This reminds me of something Ms. Quaid stated in K.I.S.S (Keep It Supper Simple)
@Santino I agree in voting for Bernie Sanders for his great ideas in free college & health care because us as youth struggle in succeeding in education because we get too caught up in working for college.

I read the article of 'The Year Ahead". It talked about Adele the famous artist how her new song "Hello" became the a big hit in Radio city Hall Manhattan. They describe Adele as frank and funny, with a language of profanity.

@Ruben Garcia I highly agree with Ruben that you must put in the hard work to be successful. Work hard or overtime will show little results but in abundance. But when you look at the big picture you can a whole lot. Dedication is the best thing someone can have to get motivated, it shows how much you really love to do it. The article I read talks about how CEO Bob Iger has spent much of his near decade at disney wearing an additional corporate hat.The results were unimaginable. Bob Iger and his workers have created a three dimensional virtual reality room using millions of floating pixels. They have a 10,000-cubic foot virtual reality room that was recently upgraded to incorporate the latest graphics and audio equipment's. I think it is amazing how innovated the future would be like.
I read this article about this guy named Jonathan Eppers, he made this app which redefined new ways to staying in town and feeling like home. So he made this app that gives people to a place to rent out there apartment and people to pay for it just on their phone so once you get there the place is yours. In the first month he got over 10,000 downloads.
I read an article about how you can make your home a movie. If they're filming at your house you as a homeowner can make $1,500 a day for exterior filming and $2,000 a day for interior shots. For major films your home wont be used more than one time.
I read an article about how training companies handle a hack. They are teaching military people how to hack. North Korean hackers hacked in Amy Pascal which is one of the most powerful women in Hollywood and cost her job as a co-chairman.
I read an article about a hacker bragging about how easy it is to hack any social media account. He described the process to hacking the accounts as he stated that he can easily hack Trump's twitter if he wanted to. The article was interesting because it was funny and the guy doesn't realize the consequences of bragging about hacking people's account.
I read an article about how some people make fake job ads. Anybody can make a job ad whether it is real or not. I learned that you should look for key words that they say like "Make your own hours" "Potential Earnings". They will also just put you behind a desk and on the phone calling people from the telephone book and make you think it is an easy job. They might also be able to steal your identity.
@Carlos Pacheco That's really interesting, I never knew that you have the right to charge people for filming your home. I have had rappers ask if they can borrow my house for music video but never said anything about paying.

I read an article about a school shooting in France. A 17 year old high school student shot the principle and two others. The student was arrested and there seemed to be no other suspects. I think this article was interesting because now i see that anyone can get weapons and start a shooting.
I read an article about marine life and how global warming and pollution is affecting the environment and the coral reef. It's a problem known worldwide that needs to be solved so that marine life and people overall aren't affected.

I read on Today.com that Starbucks might be spelling your name wrong on purpose. The reason they do this is because when someone gets their name spelled wrong they usually post it on social media and that gives them free publicity. I think this is very possible, it is a very smart idea. I think we all have seen this on social media and feel it is not anything bad but it is very smart.
I have read the water contamination of water in Dakota protest site. They said this is a problem because it affects the people that live their and the Native Americans. Also the people just left a mess to just leave it and people that stayed at the site just stayed their to just sleep or have a please to leave.
@Julio Romero I think that type of news is a real eye opener since a lot of people in the U.S. want to be able to get a gun easily. It also shows how more students and teachers die in a school shooting that people being attacked by a grizzly bear at school.

I read an article about the most influential gadgets of all time. They were a lot of things that i believe really belong on the list, for example the Apple Ibook. However there were products that i believe shouldn't have been on the list like the Segway.

An article that I have previously read on FastCompany.com. It talked about Netflix making shows and movies downloadable. Most people think it’s a good idea because this is convenient for users who travel a lot. It allows Netflix members to watch their favorite television shows on the go anywhere. This makes it better for people who don't enjoy having a show buffer while it loads. Personally I’m one of those people who enjoys watching Netflix anywhere so this update is a huge game changer.
An article I researched on Money.com would be about Disneyland's prices rising. Each year Disneyland, Universal Studio etc raise up their prices. This year Disneyland raised their prices 5 dollars more and now is $110.00.

@Vanessa Razo, I think that is very intriguing. Whenever I was looking for jobs last year I would get emails back with fake names, with a completely different job than what I applied for.
